Curly Hair Info

You can now create your own curly hair extensions to complement or enhance curls within your hair! Our curls are steamed (not permed), so no damage is caused to the hair.

Curly/wavy hair comes with no guarantee as to how long the curl/wave will last as there are so many influencing factors. Therefore it is very important that this page is read thoroughly. They are an additional decorative feature. CURLY HAIR IS HANDMADE AND IS NON REFUNDABLE/NON EXCHANGEABLE.

We have 3 curl charts for you to choose from.

1)New technology, available in Brazilian and virgin Russian grades.

2)Old technology, available in Brazilian and Virgin Russian grades.

3)Raw technology, available in Raw grades.

To summarise, the old technology is best for darker hair (curls last well) and offers lots of curl options. New technology is a great choice for most colours(curls last well) however the process sometimes fluffs the hair slightly (not a fault). But it’s curl options are limited.

Both above technologies are available in Brazilian and Virgin Russian.

Raw technology is great for all colours and is available in our Raw grade and there are plenty of curl options, blonder colours may drop initially more than darks but the curl will usually last very well.

All curls from all curl charts will soften after washing. And may change/loosen slightly. However lighter colours in old technology will drop the most, sometimes dramatically.

New technology

Curls created with new technology have a good longevity and tend to stay in for serval months/the lifespan of the hair. Old technology can be used on the majority of colours however the curl may be slightly looser or tighter depending on the colour selected. We usually find that dark curls are tighter than medium colour curls and that blonde curls are looser than medium colour curls. The new process does sometimes fluff the hair, however using conditioner and curl cream helps to soften the hair. These curls are available in Brazilian and Virgin Russian grades. If you have any concerns please message us and we will do our best to provide as much info as possible.

Old technology

Curls created using old technology usually hold their curl very well for several months when purchased in colour #4 or lighter. However we do find that in lighter colours than #4 the steam and colouring/bleaching process do sometimes work against each other which means that the curl may not last after washing. This is not a fault, it is the inherent nature of curly , lightened/bleached hair extensions. We usually find that dark curls are tighter than medium colour curls and that blonde curls are looser than medium colour curls. We have included below, pictures as examples of what to expect after washing certain hair colours. We usually find, the lighter the hair, the more the curls drop. These curls are available in Brazilian and Virgin Russian grades. Please be mindful that if you would like a certain curl, to be guaranteed in a lighter colour, we do recommend order either from the new technology chart (virgin Russian and Brazilian grade) or our raw chart (available in the raw grade). WE ADVISE AGAINST CURLING HAIR LIGHTER THAN A #22 and recommend ordering the raw grade of hair should you wish to order blonde, curly extensions.

Raw technology

Curls made using raw technology usually last very well and have a good longevity. Available in our raw grade of hair, in all colours. We sometimes find that dark curls are tighter than medium colour curls and that blonde curls are looser than medium colour curls. However these curls usually last well.

Important things to remember-

Curly hair is non refundable.

It’s important to remember that curls may drop after washing.

Darker curly or wavy hair does not drop as much as blonde and lighter colours.

Please note: we advise against curling/waving hair lighter than shade #22 (medium blonde) unless new technology or raw technology is used. However we will always do our best to advise you should you have questions.

The curl (steaming) process may slightly alter the tone of the hair due to the heat used — particularly with blonde hair.

Each set of curly hair is different, so we cannot guarantee or be held responsible for exactly how a curl will look after washing. Therefore it’s important that you follow the above advice.

IMPORTANT: We strongly advise washing the extensions before fitting them. This allows any changes to the curl pattern to take place and helps avoid any issues/disappointment after fitting.

Any issue must be reported immediately (before fitting)

There is no guarantee on the curls/waves longevity, as many factors can affect this. For full information, please see our Aftercare and Advice section.

Please also ensure you are using the correct curl-enhancing products and maintaining a suitable aftercare routine while wearing the extensions.

We do not recommend further colouring curly hair extensions.

Please note: The length of hair you select is measured before curling. Hair will appear shorter once curled, so we recommend ordering a longer length than desired to allow for this.

It’s completely normal for us to follow up after you place an order — this helps us ensure everything is perfect before we begin processing. Please use the curl chart to make your curl selection, and we’ll take care of the rest behind the scenes.
